Autumn

Autumn leaves under frozen souls,
Hungry hands turning soft and old,
My hero cried as we stood out there in the cold,
Like these autumn leaves I don't have nothing to hold.

Handsome smile, wearing handsome shoes,
Too young to say, though I swear he knew,
And I hear him singing while he sits there in his chair,
While these autumn leaves float around everywhere.

And I look at you, and I see me,
Making noise so restlessly,
But now it's quiet and I can hear you sing,
'My little fish don't cry, my little fish don't cry.'

Autumn leaves have faded now,
That smile I lost, well I've found somehow,
Because you still live on in my father's eyes,
These autumn leaves, all these autumn leave, all these autumn leaves are yours tonight.

Potluck Dinner

What is better than sharing good food with lovely people?!

After the food was gone, some of the wine was still there.....

...when the wine and the guests was gone too, my
boss/sister and i thought it was a great idea
to have a big party night out.

One hour after we got home, the kids were ready to play.....
...our idea didn't look that great anymore.

Intouchables

I just watched one of the best movies ever. It's a French movie: Intouchables. I watched it in Italian (Quasi Amici) and i could not find it in English. It's really funny, even though the story is actually pretty sad. Well, that's what everything is about isn't it? You never know what the life can throw against you, so you have to try to be happy for what you've got instead of thinking too much about what you haven't or you've lost. It's always easier doing it, though, when you see somebody in a worse situation than your's, than you really realise how lucky you are. Everybody should watch it, made me think about a lot of things. Great movie.

Jimmy

Since i was a little girl, at home, we have always had a dog. In December 2010 our two dogs, unfortunately passed away. So in March 2011 we got an other dog, a German Sheperd. I fall in love with him as soon as i saw him for the first time. And i was right: he is the most lovely thing in the world. He always has got some love to give, and i miss him so bad. No matter what, he is always ready for a cuddles or a play. I'm so looking forward to see him.

5 weeks to go

It’s time for me to face the truth, ready or not i’m soon going home. Even though i feel sick just thinking about that i’m trying to live the last weeks in Tasmania as good as i can. Since i've been realizing that the day of my departure is getting closer i found my self trying to save, in my memories, as much as i can. Bringing alway the camera with me is helping a lot but the thing i don't want to forget is the smells. The air here has a strange smell of…freedom. Sometimes i find my self smelling as deep as i can as if everything i smell could be print inside me and never be washed away. On the other hand i miss the smell of my home, that smell that in some way whispers to you that everything it's going to be ok, beacuse you're at HOME, the smell of my mum that even though she doesn't use any perfume has the most lovely smell in the world.

Well, apart form the smells, Tasmania is a lovely place to discover with the eyes too and obviously with my Nikon. A couple of days ago, we went to the top of Mt. Wellington, which rises to 1,271 metres over the lovely city of Hobart. The view was AMAZING.

And after seeing Hobart from above, i had a great view of the city from Derwent River aboard the Peppermint Bay II. I went on a cruise down all the way to Bruny Island.

After a couple of hours of travelling on cruises and busses we finally got to South Bruny National Park where we explored Bruny Island's breathtaking coastline. And trust me, it was really breathtaking.

It was exciting to see the wild life that inhabits this area too, exept when the guide said :" Guys, as you can see there's not many seals swimming, this means that it could be shark here around somewhere". That was a bit too "wild" for me.

Met some great and really interesting people too. It's amazing how friendly Australian people are.
